Tamarack Summit: Reducing Poverty Now

Vibrant communities

From May 6 to 8, the Tamarack Institute hosted the Poverty Reduction Summit: Every City, Province and Territory Working Together. Foundation President and CEO  Stephen Huddart spoke at the summit, as did Calgary mayor Naheed Nenshi, Edmonton mayor Don Iveson, Deb Matthews, Ontario’s deputy premier, as well as numerous other national stakeholders. Notes from Stephen’s speech are online at the Foundation’s blog. Tamarack is the Foundation’s partner in the Vibrant Communities initiative, a network of citizens, community developers, business people and government representatives working to reduce poverty in Canada.
