Real Ventures is one of Canada’s most successful early-stage venture capital firms. Established in 2007, it has invested 150 companies across three funds with a values-driven approach to management and investment selection. Sharing the Foundation’s commitment to building resilient communities, Real Ventures’ mission is to “serve entrepreneurs and nurture the communities in which they thrive.” In an interview with The Globe and Mail’s Sean Silcoff, Foundation CEO Stephen Huddart said about the investment, “Providing opportunities for young people and entrepreneurs to develop their companies in Canada should really be an overarching economic and social imperative.”
