Job opportunity: Senior Program Officer

The McConnell Foundation is currently recruiting a Senior Program Officer to join its team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and managing a portfolio of grants related to our strategic orientations, including our focus on advancing reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada.

As a Senior Program Officer, you’ll be part of a small and dynamic team dedicated to promoting positive social and environmental change. You’ll support grantinginvesting and convening efforts related to reconciliation, while also liaising with McConnell staff and outside partners that are working on other issue areas. The overriding goal is to support the transition to a more sustainable, inclusive and resilient Canada through social innovation.

Why should you apply?

This is an opportunity to become involved with ongoing efforts to address some of Canada’s toughest challenges – such as climate change, inequality and reconciliation – through social innovation tools and practices. You will gain a national perspective on social change while having the opportunity to develop meaningful connections at a community level. You will also support the Foundation in advancing its internal reconciliation efforts.

Given the primary focus of this position will be to work on Indigenous issues, we encourage Indigenous candidates to apply.

Application deadline: December 8, 11:59pm
