The University of Alberta is the second largest university in Canada, offering hundreds of degree programs to more than 35,000 students at undergraduate, graduate, professional and postgraduate levels.

This project received funding under Phase I of the University-Based Community Service-Learning Initiative.

The CSL Program at the University of Alberta encourages the innovative integration of service learning into courses across the curriculum, especially relating to capacity-building and research in the community, and with a focus on arts and social sciences.

The CSL Program will include a certificate for students who complete at least four courses with a CSL component, as well as a Non-Profit Board Student Internship.

The Program is built on a partnership with the Edmonton Chamber of Voluntary Organizations.
