This grant will enable The Dorothy Ley Hospice to increase its capacity to deliver palliative services through virtual platforms – for counseling, grief, bereavement, hospice etc. It will also support a virtual remembrance ceremony to honor loved ones lost to COVID.
Background of the organization
Founded in 1990, The Dorothy Ley Hospice (DLH) is a volunteer-based community service organization offering compassionate care to people living with the challenges of a life-limiting illness or loss. The DLH programs are designed to meet physical, emotional, spiritual and psychosocial needs, helping individuals to live life to the fullest. Their services are provided at no cost to the individual thanks to the generosity of our donors and community partners.
