Background

Founded in 1986, Prosper Canada is a national charity dedicated to expanding economic opportunity for Canadians living in poverty through program and policy innovation.

Prosper Canada works primarily with governments, businesses, and community organizations that already interact with economically vulnerable populations—training and mentoring them in how to integrate successful approaches into policies and practices.

A grant to Prosper Canada will support the adaptation and introduction to Canada of a successful financial literacy model currently used in the U.S., with the aim of improving the financial stability of economically vulnerable populations.
