PosAbilities

Background

PosAbilities is a Vancouver-based organization working with persons with developmental disabilities. Built on the pillars of inclusion, diversity, learning, innovation and person-centred approaches, PosAbilities aims to build and participate in a community that is truly inclusive of all people, including those with developmental disabilities.

Full Description

A grant from the Foundation will be used to scale out PosAbilities Community Connector program, which integrates individuals with developmental disabilities with the people, places and activities in their neighbourhoods. PosAbilities will train and support six Vancouver-area organizations to implement a meaningful social inclusion approach, as well as share their model more broadly within and outside Canada.
