Engineers Without Borders Canada (EWB)

Background

EWB is a movement of over 50,000 professional engineers, students, overseas volunteer staff, and supporters across Canada. EWB works to harness the skills and creativity of the Canadian engineering sector to find practical solutions to extreme poverty in Africa. Here in Canada, EWB supports a network of 34 campus-based and professional chapters that engage people, government, companies and universities with international development.

Full Description

A grant from the Foundation will support EWB Canadian efforts in creating a new generation of innovative social entrepreneurs. This Social Innovation Fund grant will be used to strengthen organizational capacity, consolidate and disseminate knowledge and learnings, and strengthen EWB’s chapter network.
