COOP Carbone

Background of the organization

Established in 2011 by Fondaction CSN, Mouvement Desjardins, Coop Fédérée, the Centre d’excellence en efficacité énergétique (C3E) and the Association québécoise pour la maîtrise de l’énergie (AQME), Coop Carbone’s mission is to support the implementation of collaborative projects to reduce GHG emissions in agriculture, transportation as well as the corporate sector in Quebec.

Project description

Funding will enable Coop Carbone’s work in identifying the mobility needs of low-income households, new Canadians, Indigenous populations, elderly and physically disabled individuals and promote transition paths to sustainable mobility solutions in specific regions of Quebec, thereby achieving its climate targets. The project will catalyze scaling of sustainable mobility solutions that are inclusive.
