Background of the organization 

CityHive’s mission is to transform the way young people shape their cities and the civic processes that engage them. The organization envisions cities where youth are actively involved in civic planning and decision-making on key issues from housing to climate action to transportation and urban design. As a youth-led and youth-run organization, CityHive harness the energy, experiences, and perspectives of youth to ensure our cities are more just, sustainable and resilient, for current and future generations.  

Project description  

Funding for this project will build CityHive’s capacity to work with municipalities, crown corporations and local agencies so they proactively engage youth in their policymaking processes. The project seeks to grow this capacity-building role as a core part of their impact. The Foundation will support business planning and feasibility studies.
