Canadian Community Leadership Network

Background

Since 1999, the Foundation has supported the development of a number of Community Leadership Programs (CLPs) across Canada. These CLPs formed a national network, Leadership Canada to support the continued development of member CLPs and the sharing of effective approaches to their work.

Grant Description

Leadership Canada will develop and strengthen its network in order to share learning among Community Leadership Programs (CLPs). It will also provide funding for a range of projects related to the challenges facing many CLPs, such as encouraging the development of leaders from diverse backgrounds, and sustaining CLPs in the long term. This process of sharing and experimentation should result in the identification and dissemination of best practices in developing Community Leadership.
