This project will address energy poverty through supporting local advocacy and tenant rights organizations for households experiencing energy poverty; it will also encourage women to enter the energy efficiency workforce; and it will partner with Indigenous organizations in the energy efficiency field.

Funds from the Foundation will support Pembina’s project to address women’s job losses due to COVID-19 and work to influence government job creation programs and other post-COVID recovery funding to increase women’s participation in the clean energy workforce.

Support from the Foundation will be used to continue outreach to nonprofit sector employers to provide the Common Good Retirement to their employees and to develop financial education and literacy materials tailored for the unique needs of the nonprofit sector.
