Background of the organization 

RAVEN (Respecting Aboriginal Values and Environmental Needs) raises legal defence funds to assist Indigenous Peoples who enforce their rights and title to protect their traditional territories. 

Project description 

Funding will contribute to some of RAVEN’s core operations during a period of strategic growth. This includes the recruitment of new team members, financing two new funding streams for Indigenous Peoples to access the legal system and creating an accredited course for lawyers about Indigenous law.
