Northern Manitoba Food, Culture, and Community Fund

Background

The Northern Manitoba Funding Collaborative is a collaborative effort of funders and northern people hosted by Tides Canada. Its mandate is to help communities in northern Manitoba increase access to healthy food and improve community health and community economic development by supporting locally appropriate projects.

Full Description

The Foundation’s grant will contribute to food-related projects in northern Manitoba and help nurture both local capacity in participatory evaluation and project management. By sharing the experiences, resources, wisdom and desire for supportive change, this Collaborative will help create a sustained and positive change in the north, and witness the blossoming health of northern people, economies and food systems, and the development of local capacity and community champions.
