Climate Reality Project Canada

Background of the organization

The Climate Reality Project Canada is a non-profit organization that was created in 2007 with the objective of educating Canadians about the science and impact of climate change, as well as solutions to address it. Based on the model of The Climate Project founded by former U.S. Vice President and Nobel Laureate Al Gore, the primary means of disseminating this information is through trained Climate Reality Leaders and Community Climate Hubs members who are volunteers from all demographics, regions, sectors and backgrounds.  

 

Project description

Funding will provide training in climate communications and strengthen individual and organizational capacity to recruit and train a more diverse segment of the Canadian population for building the net-zero carbon economy. Climate Reality Project Canada will focus on underserved regions.
