CityStudio Vancouver

Background

CityStudio Vancouver is an innovation hub inside City Hall where staff, university and college students, and community members co-create, design, and launch projects on the ground. CityStudio’s mission is to innovate and experiment with the ways cities are co-created, while teaching students the skills needed to collaborate on real projects in Vancouver with City staff and community stakeholders.

CityStudio’s inter-disciplinary and cross-sectoral approach is integrated with learning activities that take place in all seven post-secondary institutions in Greater Vancouver. It has spawned hundreds of projects focused on issues like the green economy, active transportation, and urban agriculture.
