Canadian Fair Trade Network (CFTN)

Background

The Canadian Fair Trade Network (CFTN) is a non-profit organization that works with civil society and industry stakeholders to advance awareness and support for fair trade in Canada. It supports collaboration and best practices within the fair trade movement to increase Canadian commitments to international social responsibility.

Grant Description

A Social Innovation Fund grant from the Foundation will support the CFTN’sdevelopment of internal structures and external partnerships needed to sustain its operations through the hiring of new personnel responsible for administrative support and partnership development. The addition of these two roles will allow the CFTN to expand its programs and increase circulation of publication; develop relationships with corporations and other networks; educate consumers and buyers about fair trade certification; develop an evaluation framework for the CTFN’s work.
