Canadian Caregiver Coalition (CCC)

Background:

Founded in November 2000, the Canadian Caregiver Coalition is made up of a diverse group of individuals and organizations. Individual partners include caregivers, researchers, and professional service providers. The Canadian Caregiver Coalition is the national body representing and promoting the voice, needs, and interests of family caregivers with all levels of government and the community through advocacy and leadership; research and education; and information, communication and resource development.

It’s not if… It’s when you will be a caregiver

N.B. The Canadian Caregiver Coalition has changed its name to the Canadian Clinical Community

Grant description:

An important aspect of the Coalition’s work is identifying and developing key areas of policy in discussions with caregivers, stakeholder groups, health care providers, policy makers, and employers. Through policy research, including a series of policy papers, they are working to ensure that there are programs and services for caregivers, and to raise awareness of caregiving issues among Canadians.
