Collectif 7 à Nous (Bâtiment 7)

Background of the organization

The Collectif 7 À NOUS is the lead organization for Bâtiment 7. The Collective’s aim is to enable residents to play an active role in neighbourhood civic life. Activities offered through Bâtiment 7 are grounded in collective priorities: social justice, circular economy and participation. Since 2018, , the Collective has developed more than 15 local projects for social and economic inclusion.

Several partners are involved in the strategy development process, including  PhiLab, Concordia University, Office municipal d’habitation de Montréal and Corporation de développement communautaire de Pointe-Saint-Charles.

Project description

The Collective will continue to strengthen organizational capacity to meet growing demand for activities – including food security projects, youth engagement, skills development– and consolidate plans for site expansion and financial sustainability.

The Foundation’s funding will allow the organization to be more responsive to community needs by strengthening their overall operational, human and financial resource systems, and by freeing up space for the leadership team to continue advancing the planning of Bâtiment 7’s future strategic directions.
